NASA ESMD Senior Design Workshop

NASA's Exploration Systems Mission Directorate is hosting a free two-day faculty workshop on July 28-29, 2010, at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This workshop will prepare higher education faculty to implement the following ESMD senior engineering design course with a strong focus on the NASA systems engineering process: "Demonstration Prototype for Lunar or Planetary Surface Landing Research Vehicle" (LPSRV) by Dr. Stephen Whitmore with Utah State University

The course meets the quality standards of an ABET-accredited program and implements the NASA systems engineering process. All NASA engineering projects use this process; therefore, the course will help prepare students to work for NASA and space industry partners.

The workshop is open to U.S. citizens only.

Course materials will be available online following the workshop.

Registration forms must be received by June 11, 2010.

For more information about the workshop, visit http://education.ksc.nasa.gov/ESMDspacegrant/Faculty_Training.htm.

Questions about the workshop or the registration process should be directed to Mandi Falconer by e-mail at Mandi.C.Falconer@nasa.gov or by telephone at 321-867-4439.
